Netflix’s Sweet Home introduces us to a world where human desires manifest into monstrous forms. Unlike typical zombie apocalypses caused by viruses, this series explores a unique concept: a curse that transforms suppressed human desires into physical monstrosities. Each monster in Sweet Home is as unique as the person it was born from, and understanding their weaknesses is key to survival. Let’s dive into the most iconic monsters and how to defeat them!  

1. Protein Monster (Steroid Monster)  

- Appearance: A massive, muscular giant with incredible strength.  

- Desire: The yearning for a powerful and robust body.  

- Weakness: Its stiff neck limits its ability to look behind, making it vulnerable to attacks from the back. Targeting its Achilles tendon can immobilize it temporarily.  

 2. Lotus Root Monster (Blind Monster)  

- Appearance: A terrifying figure with half a head, revealing a lotus-root-like structure.  

- Desire: A deep-seated need for revenge against perceived injustices.  

- Weakness: Completely blind, it relies solely on sound, making it susceptible to surprise attacks.  

3. Eyeball Monster (Spider Monster) 

- Appearance: A creature with a giant eye on its head or detachable eyes that stick to surfaces.  

- Desire: An insatiable urge to see and monitor everything.  

- Weakness: Its reliance on vision makes its eyes an obvious target. Attacking its eyes or exploiting its blind spots is effective.  

 4. Long-Tongue Monster 

- Appearance: A grotesque being with an unnaturally long, deadly tongue.  

- Desire: A compulsive need to take or consume everything.  

- Weakness: If its tongue is restrained or severed, the rest of its body becomes highly vulnerable.  

 5. Slime Monster 

- Appearance: A slippery, gelatinous creature that can squeeze through tight spaces.  

- Desire: A longing to hide and feel secure.  

- Weakness: Fire and high temperatures can easily destroy it, as it cannot withstand heat.  

 6. Starving Monster  

- Appearance: A gaunt, skeletal figure driven by hunger.  

- Desire: An uncontrollable craving for food, especially humans.  

- Weakness: Without sustenance, it becomes slow and weak. Like many others, fire is an effective way to defeat it.  

7. Baby Monster  

- Appearance: Resembling an infant, born from a mother’s grief over losing her child.  

- Desire: To reunite with its child.  

- Weakness: Initially harmless but transforms into a cocoon, which could lead to further danger if left unchecked.  

Common Weaknesses of Sweet Home Monsters:  

- Fire: The ultimate weapon against most monsters quick and efficient.  

- Extreme Mutilation: Severely damaging their bodies can stop them, though some may regenerate over time.  

- Golden Hour: Newly infected individuals are more vulnerable before their transformation is complete.  

- Sensory Triggers: Many monsters are hypersensitive to light or sound due to their human traumas use this to your advantage!
